This list is liable to be revised at the last moment, as all of the players are not yet in town. One or two, whose names do not ap pear, may come in before train time. Larry Cheney comes under this heading. Larry is reported to be a holdout, and neither Evers or Murphy had heard from early this morning. If Cheney is not on the train it is a pretty safe bet that he will stick on the outside for a few weeks, though he is ex pected to be satisfied, as far as salary demands, before the cam paign opens. Several of the players who leave tonight will not come back with the team. They will be dropped at different minor league cities on the return trip if further seasoning is found necessary. It is fairly certain Evers will keep his pitchers together until the opening day. Sommers and Gil bert are youngsters and nothing is known of their ability to make good in the big league. At least one catcher will be dropped. Archer, Sheckard, . Mitchell, Bresnahan, Richie, Lavender and possibiy Charley Smith will be at the Tampa prep school waiting for the main squad to arrive. Tommy Leach will not report un til March 1. Nothing has been heard from Overall, but if the big twirler decides to report he will jump directly from California to Florida. All of the men in Florida now are in good condition. They have not touched a baseball, but have been taking long walks, playing golf and going through other light exercise to loosen winter stiffened muscles. Lew Ritchie was too strenuous and was tossed from his motorcycle a few weeks ago, but has recovered. Johnny Evers is proving an apt Kr jI IA v Bill Knisely. i
