REAL FASHIONS ON SOCIETY PEOPLE
Mrs. William Howard Taft
has been wearing to the farewell
dinners given in her honor a
gown of magnificent black chiffon
velvet combined with black
The skirt is very long, slightly
draped, and not too narrow. The
bodice is of the thread lace over
white chiffion. The lace is draped
over the train in the back in two
long points, with jet ornaments
on the ends. Black chiffon re
veres, heavily embroidered with
jet, form the trimming on the
front of the waist.
