GAYNOR'S BODY-HOME FRIDAY
Liverpool, Sept. 13. After being
accorded the most signal honors ever
shown a foreigner in this port, the
body of the late Mayor William J.
Gaynor of New York, who died at
sea, rested today in a specially con
structed mortuary chapel on the
Cunarder Lusitania. The. steamer is
expected to arrive in.New York next
Friday.

BANDITS USE.TWAJN CAVE
Hannibal, Mo., Sept. 13. In the
cave made'famous by Mark Twain as
the headquarters of Tom Sawyer and
Huckleberry Finn, five boys, ring
leaders of a. gang, the oldest 19, have
been concealing loot stolen, during
the past three years,, amounting to
$4,000'. Most of the plunder has been
recovered and the-boys are under ar
