I EGGS AT THE MOVIES AS ADMISSION FEES Guthrie, Okla. An egg matinee at the movies! The eggs serve as admis sion, not as missiles. And the idea has been such a success that its orig inator, George Pollard, has decided to put it into operation permanently. This is how it happened. , Pollard knew children would become regular patrons if they only had the price. What, he asked himself, was the form of currency which they might be like ly to have in their possession? Why the idea came eggs! There must be some fresh eggs out in the barn. So he advertised his egg matinee. And there was such a crush of youngsters about the door that many a price of admission, clutched tightly in a small hand, was hopelessly smashed. The weeping and wailing that followed these frequent catastro phes was hushed by the offer of a free admission that day if the uafor tunate would promise to bring two efcfcss the next day. SOME HOPE YET Father (wishing to encourage the boy) Well, well, well! That's drawn as good as I' could draw it. The Kid Oh, I'll improve as I git . older.
