HAPPIEST WOMAN IN WASHINGTON IS WIFE OF
,DE SAULLES, NEW MINISTER TO URUGUAY cJohn '-L. 2D a 5u.ci' Mr." and Mrs. John L. De Saulles. Washington, D. C Mrs. John L. De Saulles says she is the happiest woman in Washington, for she is go ing back to the land of her people, South America. Her husband, John L. De Saulles, the famous Yale quar terback o'f a dozen years ago. has been nominated by President Wilson to be minister to Uruguay. The cou ple will leave very shortly for the new post. Mrs. De Saulles is the daughter of a rich Chilean. She spent five years in Chili and says she knows Uruguay, to be a Itfvely country in which to live. The appointment is considered as a recognition by the president of a. close friendship established during the Wilson .campaign. o o It is recalled that F. W. Thayer, re cently deceased Boston merchant, invented the baseball mask. He was. the originator of "Save your face!"
