Edward N. Breitung, wealthy New
York and Chicago banker, manipula
tor of many destinies by the power of
his wealth, has had to behdhis knee
to the power of a God who is greater
than the God of Gold little Dan

When the rumor was first circu
lated that the daughter and neiress of
the banker,- Miss Juliet Breitung, was
married to Max Kleist, a gardener,
Breitung scornfully denied it. It was
a case of mistaken identity- It could
not be his daughter. His daughter
and -a gardener!- -
But today Breitung "a'ckidwledges
his defeat by issuing the following
statement:
"I am advised that on the 22d day
of November, 1913, at-Grace Church,
in Newjfork city, ihy daughter
Juliet Breitung, went through a mar
