MYSTERY IN SHOOTING
It has just come to light that
Sewall Truax, mining engineer, who
has been helpless from inflammatory
rheumatism, was shot and badiy
Tsrounded while In a wheel chair at
the home of his father, W. C. Egan,
in Highland Park, twa days ago.
Great secrecy surrounds the shoot
ing. No one at the Egan home will
alk. They merely explain that he'
was shot while "no one else wasr
present."
Truax married Eva Egan four,,
years ago. Up until his illness he
was a prosperous mining engineer in
Canon City, Col. One of Mr. Egan'sj
sons, H. Chandler Egan, has been the
national golf champion. t
