This isn't a cactus It's a pangolin,
but lie's just as prickly and just as
hard to handle as the spmey cactus
plant The pangolin is not much of a
fighter, but he knows a trick or two
about self-defense So when a hunter
comes his way he ties his long, sooly
body in a tight knot winds his tail
around his head and just rolls on the
ground, probably laughing at the man
'With a gun.
The pangolin isn't much to look at,
but he has his uses, as he eats the in
sects that infest the West African
country and thus saved colonists'
crops from destruction.
There .is a universal suffrage com
mittee of forty members in the
French parliament, which has report
ed favorably on woman suffrage to
the chamber of deputies.
