scornfully to the amazed Mr. Demp
sey. "And they know that I want
you, Olive. Will you stay with me?"
"You're mad!" shouted Dempsey,
, Olive Freyne looked from one man
to the other, and if ever the old life
had held her in its spell, the spell
was broken in that moment.
She did-not speak, but she looked
steadily at Ralph, and there was a
look in her eyes that told him better
than words could tell what her deci
sion was.
"Get out!' said the doctor to Mr.
