New York. If the suffragists want
to win "votes for women" in 1915
they must foreswear feminism.
This is the edict issued by Beatrice
Forbes-Robertson and apparently Dr.
Anna Howard Shaw, president of the
National Woman's Suffrage Associa
tion agrees with. her.
Feminism is the club the "antis"
are using to knock the cause of wo
man suffrage. Feminism, they de
clare, means destruction of the home
and abolition of the family.
Now there are not a few women--and
I am one of them who are fem
inists first and suffragists only be
cause these ARE feminists. It is un
fair that we should be hung with all
understanding of what feminism is.
The suffragist believes in political
equality with man. To the feminist..
is ONLY ONE
the gross accusations based on a mis- J political equality
