RIOTING IN CAR STRIKE
St. Johns, N. B., July 25. Serious
rioting and possible bloodshed feared
here when street railway employes
who struck Thursday for higher
wages gathered in business section
for demonstration. The 700 militia
men who took over the rule of the
city yesterday and patrolled the
streets throughout the night were
augmented by the arrival of addi
tional trooDS from Fredericton and
Halifax. Chief of Police Clark has Bioomington, Ind. Herbert Davis,
