The staff of girl employes of the
United States Bipom and Brush Co.
factory, Clybourn av. and Cortland
sL, walked out on strike today be
cause four of their' sister employes
were discharged after attending a
meeting of the International Brooto
Workers' -Union last night.
, At thismeeting the U. S. Broom
and Brush Co. was strongly lashed
because of the conditions at the fac
tory which the girls condemned.
Miss Agnes Nestor, president of the
Women's Trade Union League, was
one of the speakers who touched- on
that point. When four of the girls,
known to have been at the meeting,
came for work this morning they
were summarily discharged,
