The other evening, when calling
for a friend, I walked into the house
unannounced and was rather sur
prised to see my chum in the dining
room, reading aloud from a letter,
while lust bac kof him stood the

f "Ay bane get a letter from my

to read, so Mr. Gaut he read him
"But why do you hold his ears?"
"Ay do not like to have him hear
