I was not booked because of my
being born in Germany and for hav
ing letters from the German battle
front in my pocket. The others,
mostly Americans and all white, were
sent to the House ofDetention for

Permit me to say a few words in re
ply to Mr. Geo. V. Wells, 6050 South

prostitution is as much a crime as
murder. Will Mr. Wells look up the

Why not make prostitution clean?
Sex disease cannot be cured by the
marriage ceremony. The best one can
expect is close scientific supervision.
I also disagree with Mr. Wells when
he says prostitution is a wrong to
women. There are more women than
men and we cannot change the laws
of natute. In the article on prostl
