Lock broken.i SEE SCHOOL TAX RAISE AS REAL: HELP FOR SITUATION Unless the legislature heeds the re quest of the school board and in creases the school tax rate from $1.05 to $1.20 salaries will have to be cut or schools closed in May instead of June. The board feels children should not be deprived of school time. Mrs. Ella Plagg Young believes teach ers should not be asked to pay for $1,260,000 worth of education out of their salaries.
