Mrs. H- H. Kiehne and her two sturdy American youngsters, snapped1
on board the Eitel Frjedrich at dock in Newport News, where the raider
sought refuge after sinking the American ship sailed by Mrs. Kiehne's hus
band. The voyage was one long terror for Mrs. Kiehne, whose great fear
was that an English warship might find and sink the Eitel Fritz, with her
two boys on board.
