mind of a child is a dangerous thing
with which to experiment Adults

all innocently, the impression made

adults is shattered. Recently a Chi
cago school teacher, scanning exam
ination papers, gulped, stifled an out
burst of laughter; then grew serious.
She had found an example of child-
mind impressions. A girl 12 years
old had written this definition:
"Eugenics: The science of not having
babies." The definition should be
studied, both by those who desire eu
genic teaching in the school and by
those who do not.
In spite of the ridicule of Uncle
