"I realize I was a spoiled kid. One
day I told father I didn't like the fur
niture in the house. Just to please
me he sold it and bought an entirely
new outfit Then I wanted a baby.
So my parents adopted a little girl
for me. But I got tired of her because
she wasn't pretty
"I took $950 from my father's safe
before X ran awav so I was spared the
hardships of the average burlesque
girl. I traveled the country over is
my three years of adventure and now
I'm ready to go home and sit con
tentedly by the fireside with a novel
and a box of candy.
"I want to warn young girls against
the stage, especially burlesque. To
be plain 3poken, rt's rotten, filthy, yes
horrible. You can't be decent. If you
are you won't last. The business is
nothing but insults."
