Belle Bennett was born at Dublin
Bay, Ireland, and -was educated in
Sacred" Heart Concent, Minneapolis.
Her stage experience began at an
early age, for her father was an actor
and had his own stock company that
toured the middle west and southern
from "stage baby" to "Little Eva"
and "Little Lord Faunteroy." At 14
she starred as "The Girl of the Gol
den West," as "Tennessee" and in
"Under Two Flags."
She made her debut in the movies
in Lubin's "The Handicap," which
came near proving fatal In the great
