The struggle for supremacy between the sexes has become so keen that it can be but a short while before woman will be the dominant power or else 'man will continue to rule with a much sterner hand. The struggles on the part of wom en of many countries to secure for themselves the right to vote is evi dence that a few of the more ad vanced women are desirous of be coming not only the equal but the superior of men. Some of these high ly emotional creatures have had the audacity to claim intellectual equal ity with the male sex. The rare instances where women have shown any creative genius fall far into insignificance, both in quan tity and quality, when compared with similar feats of men. Herbert R. Collie. WHERE AGNOSTICISM FAILS. Chicago has a number of gentlemen who lecture regularly to large-sized audiences from the atheist or agnos tic point of view. L myself, have been forced out of my belief in the truth of the Christian religion. My sense of justice revolted at the idea of a just Go'd and eternal punish ment I was forced to give up my belief in the doctrines of the atonement, the virgin birth, the forgiveness of sins, the trinity, a personal God an swering prayer, etc., etc. The drop ping of these beliefs was the result of mature studying and thinking. Now, while I am convinced in my own mind that Christianity is false, I also know it has a great deal of moral and ethical value. Rational and agnostic societies are for adults. Children can not follow the lines of reasoning which they map out Yet children must be taught moral and ethical values. What do rationalists and agnos tics have to offer for the training of children? If these societies have nothing to offer along these lines the Christian church, with all its errors, still has a place in our religious life. I would like to hear some agnostic leader discuss this.
