camp at Manzanita and living the
hard, out-of-door life of seasoned
troopers. Drills and instruction in'
war tactics occupy their time.
The success of the experiment
here is inspiring school authorities in
other Pacific coast cities to adopt the
plan and this summer will find scores
of "preparedness camps" established.
