J'Mr. Editor: I desire to thank the
friends and neighbors most heartily
in this manner for their co-operation
during the illness and death of my
- late husband, who escaped from me
by the hand of death last aturday.

The last census just published
fixes the population of the Argentine
Republic at 7,883,287. The census of
1895 gave the population as 3,954,
911, so that the record shows almost
a doubling of the inhabitants in 'the
last twenty years. Buenos Aires is
a large and beautiful city with a pop
ulation of 1,375,814;
