HOW TO CARVE -A TURKEY
Follow This Diagram to Carve a Turkey in the Most Economical Way.
1 Wing cut.
2 Leg cut
3 First leg joint.

Put 4 cups of cranberries into a
saucepan with one cup of water and
stew until soft. Press through a wire
strainer, when there will he about 2
cups of pulp and juice. Add an equal
amount of sugar and stir until the
sugar is dissolved. Let boil up, skim
and turn into little cups and 'set it
away to become firm.
For a salad, serve on hearts of let
tuce with mayonnaise dressing, and
garnish with chopped celery and
CREAM OF CELERY SOUP
Scrape and wash a dozen stalks of
celery with the leaves. Chop with
pne potato and one onion. Cook half
an hour in 2 cups of stock or clear
soup. Season 2 cups of milk by boil
ing with a little parsley, y2 of a bay
leaf and a few grains of mace, if it
is liked, add salt and pepper and a
saltspoon of baking soda. Work 2
tablespoons of flour into 2 table
spoons of butter. Rub the cooked
vegetables through a sieve, mix all'
the ingredients together, then cook
until the soup thickens, add y2 cup
of cream and serve with fried crou
tons or toast
