Emil Roeske, last of the notorious
car barn bandits,- will start today for
the Chester Asylum for the Criminal
Insane; he will not live longer than
six months, physicians say.
Roeske is still in the Joliet peni
tentiary, where he was sent 14 years
ago, after his companion robbers,
Van Dine, Marx and Niedermeier,
were hanged. He was subnormal at
the time.
