Sioux City, la., April 17. High
school girls of this city are designing
and making their own dresses as a
saving of from $10 to $25 on each
All the girls have to pay for is the
material. Teaching them to make
the dresses is part of the education
given them in the public high
schools. When done, the girls may
either wear or sell them.
More than 70 girls are already tak
ing the course, which is in its first
year. M. G. Clark, superintendent of
city schools, is heartily in favor of
the plan.
