Mix’s Daughter Rebuked in Court For Extravagance LOS ANGELES, Jan. 17.—Ruth Jane Mix, daughter of Tom Mix, cowboy screen star, should "get down to earth,” Superior Judge Elias V. Rosenkranz said here when it was brought out in court that she owes a $1,000 hotel bill in New York. Miss Mix sought to collect a monthly allowance of $225 for December from her fatb?.\ R. I). Knickerbocker, Mix’s attorney, explained that Mix had given him' a check for the amount, but that a collection agency had at tached it on a debt claim against Miss Mix. "An 18-year-old girl ought not to spend so much money,” sa’d Judge Rosenkranz. "She has beati given $225 a month to live on, and should try to be more modest about hsr ways of living.” Water Boy May Be King of Afghanistan LONDON, Jan. 17.—Authorita tive reports received here indi cate that Dacha Sakao, rebel and water boy of the Afghan wilds, may soon be seated upon the throne which King Amanullah vacated. Sakao is merely a nick name meaning "water carrier.” His real name is Habibullah Ksan which is the same as Amanul lah’s father who was assassinated in 1919, although there is no re lationship between the two fam 11 lies.
