ADMIRAL EVANS IS WEST SUNDAY Steamer Admiral Evans, Capt. 3. K. Gilje, arrived from the south yesterday afternoon at 5:30 o'clock. After discharging passengers and lading cargo the ship sailed West /ard this morning at 1 o'clock. Other than her regular ports of all the ship called at Ocean Falls, B. C., and Burnett Inlet. Alaska. A large amount of American freight was discharged at Ocean Falls and cannery freight and pas sengers were for Burnett Inlet. Several automobiles were among the cargo for Juneau. A large ctuan:;>y cr lumber and railroad ties were taken aboard at the Juneau Lumber Mills, consign >d to the Alaska Railroad at Sew ard. Passengers for Juneau arriving iboard the Evans were: A1 Njorn sted, E. Kohlord, Baukes Kine, L. M. Merritt, F. R. Carlyle. Gil Rich, K. K. Katz, Miss Myrtle Gilbert, R. W. McKinley, N. Swan, Dr. R. Other numbers on the program w-ere a negro spiritual song sung by Ralph Waggoner, accompanied by Robert Waggoner, Clifford Ma son and Mrs. L. D. Henderson, and i a duet by Ronald Lister and Clif ford Mason, accompanied by Mrs. Waggoner. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Marshall who was assisted by her sister. 1 KETCHIKAN COURT NEWS Charles Scolt, who was arrested by Deputy U. S. Marshal William 1 Caswell, on a charge of violation j of the Alaska Bone Dry Law, was sentenced to pay a fine of $50 and . costs by U. S. Commissioner W. J Arnold, according to information received by U. S. Marshal Albert White. Henry Evans, arrested by Deputy U. S. Marshal William Caswell on a charge of assault was sentenced to sere 20 days in the Ketchikan jail by U. S. Commissioner W. Ar nold. Charles Fraser was bound over to the Grand Jury for violation of the i National Prohibition Law by U. S. Commissioner W. Arnold last Thursday, acording to information received at the Marshal's office here. His bond was set at $1,000. Jack Borseth and R. H. Hanson were bound over to the Grand Jury on charge of violation of the prohibition law by U. S. Commis sioner W. Arnold, a message to the U. S. Marshal’s office here stated.
