Every one of the 37 round-trip tourists on the steamship North western was up and dressed early this morning to see Taku Glacier. All obtained a good view of the natural wonder, for the atmosphere was clear and the huge expanse of ice glistened in the sun. The vessel, under a slow bell, passed the northern attraction at 6 o'clock. With a total of 79 passengers and a large cargo out of Seattle, the Northwestern, Capt. John Living ston and Purser J. E. Hewitt, had a pleasant, uneventful voyage north. She arrived in Juneau at 9:45 a.m. and departed for Skagway and Haines at 1 p.m. She will return here from Lynn Canal early Mon : day morning and after a stay of several hours will leave on her way ] back to Puget Sound via Sitka. Leonard Williams ar rived in Juneau from Seattle at 6;30 o'clock last evening. She sailed south on her return to Puget Sound at noon today. Her freight consisted chiefly of perishable commodities, and all re ceived delivery last night to be ready for early display in stores to day. Shifted to Douglas This morning the vessel shifted to Douglas and discharged consider able cargo there, and then shifted back to Juneau to take on passen gers for ports south.
