had from her family since the fall
of France to the Nazis, Mrs. Tom
Hutchings learned through a let
ter from the American Red Cross
received in the last mail that her
relatives are at Boulogne, on the
| English Channel, only 27 miles from
Folkstone. England.
| Most Important news to her was
! that all in her family are in good
health.
They are in the German occupied
I area of France.

Concert of the Juneau Public schools.
The concert, entitled "American
Music in Tune with the Times’’
will feature modern and patriotic
American music, presented in a cob
orful style.
The public of Juneau is invited
to be present, and a special invi
tation is extended to Service men.
The entertainment is complimentary I
and will be repeated tomorrow eve-I
ning at the same hour. It is to be j
held in the Grade School Audi- j
tori uni, and the Sixth Street en-1
trance will be used.
Aside from the musical part, one
of the highlights of the program
will be the appearance of the
Majorettes who have entertained
audiences in previous appearances.
The Majorettes are Mary Margaret
Wend ling. Georgine Shanklin, Lor
raine English. Gwenyth Riggs, Joane
Wolfe, Mary Lou Tonkin. They
have been diligently practicing
baton whirling for weeks.
