about the depot for the making or the
connection with the Ban Pedro road
According to Mr Matthewson the
rails will all be laid and the road com
pleted by May 1 This spar to sin and
a half miles long from Tootle city to
the smelter
At present engineers are at work at
the snmlter site laylnaj ol the ground
lor the buildings Thesej men are ex
pected to haw finished their work with
In the next three week and then con
tracts will be let for the construction
work

A number of temporary buildings
have been constructed for the housing
of the man who are at present work
ng there These will remain until
lb smelter and more substantial bulld

atoned these will be torn down
Heavy snow in Tooele county have
delayed the work somewhat this winter
but with the opening of spring things
will be pushed ahead rapidly The new
smelter will be ready to receive ore on
the first of the year and will be able
to accommodate JOOO tons of ore a day
