Syndicate Will Modernize Old Building: Acquired Through $1,000,000 Lease. ^ syndicate hesded by Samuel Augen hlick and Louis B Brodsky will pay a rental of approximately *1,000.000 during tiie next twenty-one years and a larger amount for the succeeding twenty-one ? ears for the Brandagee estate prop erty, comprising the entire square block bounded by Reade. "West Broadway, Hudson and Duane streets, with the exception of one small parcel. The property, a six story building, occupied principally by the shoe trade, takes in 14 and 116 Reade street, UO to 134 West Broadway, 1C to 22 Hudson street and li8 Duane street, has been leased by ihe syndicate through Horace S. Ely <fc Co. Cadwalader, Wlckersham <fc Taft, attorneys, represented the estate in the deal. The Brodsky-Augenblick syndicate plans to spend in the neighborhood of $300,000 in modernizing the structure and converting it into an office building with ?stores.
