The( papal court will be represented! .by Mgr. John Bonzano, apostolic dele gate to the United States and the Pope's ??uncio at "Washington, and the ombas !J? Z 3s'es of Catholic countries at Washlng * "*Jon also will send representatives. Car dinal O'Donnell of Boston arid Cardinal tot-gin of Canada will be here. Mgr. Bonzano will pontificate at the high iftqulem mass and the funeral sermon will be preached by Archbishop Glen non of St. Louis, who preached at Car dinal Gibbons's golden jubilee In 1911. ~ ' The body of the prelate lies on the bed in his own room and will not be moved Into the cathedral until after Easter Sunday. It is dressed in a purple chasuble, the vestment worn at the mass ; -white alb, purple slippers and purple Rose, with the Cardinal's cassock bc j&eath chasuble and alb. His hands, crossed on his breast, hold a crucifix. The white mitre, the tall pointed hat irhich he wore during ceremonials, is on his head. A purple spread covers the hed. Christian Brothers have relieved the priests of the household as watchers '."over the body, and they are the of)' persons admitted to the room. When the fxxiy is ? removed to the cathedral they will be relieved by the seminarians and delegates from the men's organisations of the church. The work of draping the exterior of the cathedral with mourning began to ? ?? day. It Is believed In ecclesiastical circles here that the next Archbishop of Baltl more and the successor of Cardinal . Gibbons as the primate of the Ameri can hierarchy will be either Bishop Wiliam T. Russell of Charleston. 8. C.; Bishop Dennis O'Connell of Richmond. Va.: Bishop Thomas J. Shshan of the -Catholic University, or Bishop Michael 3. Curley of St. Augustine, Fla. Ac cording to tha usual custom, the Bishops of the diocese will meet In secret conclave here within the noxt two months and will discuss the merits of the various candidates for the place. The result of this discussion will be the recommendation of three names, which will be .i?nt to the Pope. The Pope will surely select the next Arch bishop from these names, although he '* ?not required to do so. The consuitors of the archdiocese have selected Bishop Corrlgan as ad ministrator of the archdiocese pending the selection of an Archbishop.
