Amid the hurry and bustle of town pro jectors to hunt suitable locations along the railroads and in ireoraDhlcal centers of counties there have been manv desirable locations overlooked, but probably none so much so as that portion of the county lying north of Cimarron tnd about half way be tween that town and Meade Center. This is one of the moet fertile valleys in the state and is well settled up. A party of careful capitalists, headed in the effort of locating the exact place by Mr. J. E. Graham and Dr. T. J. Wheeler, have been inspecting the country for a couple of weeks and have finally located a town site, platted the town, secured over a section of land about tt and named it Montezuma. It is 22 miles from Cimarron and about that far from Mcada Center, with no town of any size or importance near it. They have therefore gone there without seeking a fight to run out some other town, but to build up a town much needed. It is or ganized on strictly businos3 principles, and is backed by good men with capital and energy. They are: Gen. T. T. Taylor, of Hutchinson, pres. Hon. L. IS. Hamlin, Chicago, vice pres. J. R. Graham, Emporia, Sec. A. H. Adkison, Garden City, treas. Dr. T. J. Wheeler, resident manager. C. M. Bradt, Xewton. Howard Dunlsp, Emporia. Ji. A. uook, uaroen Uity. IS. E. Hudson, Anthony. The character and standing of these men, all of whom are well known here, is suffi cient guarantee of tha success of the under taking. They intend to do their very best to make a good town. They have a good title to tho land, and have placed tho capital stock of tho com pany at 8100,000. Town lots have been fixed at S100 for business lots; 200 for cor ner lots: residence lots $30 and S50. Tho projectors have a fine prospect of making a good town and lots of money. I hereby notify all parties that I tako my property out of all real ctato agents' hands. Mrs.:O.KowIey. d31-3t Great Clearing Sa'.o of Millinery.
