LAST NIGHT BIGGEST OF THE ELKS' Fl More Than a Thousand Persons Attended the Indoor Carnival in Kecoughtan Building. De'twcen 1,000 and l.f.ou persons visited th?> Bill's Iudoor fair and earni val lu (he KTccought?h Building last night and It proved the ban? ner night of the week. .The fact that It was Elks' night ami that about 150 members of the Newport News lodge came down to attend the fair drew Ihe'crb'wd ami there was a rush ami a pttpsh throughout the evening. The Newport News lodge, headed by a brass band, reached the fair shortly after* '.' o'clock. Their arrival was thi' occasion tor a whirl of e\ cltenient. The visiting Klks came down on three special cars. Arriving at the corner of Arrolstead avenue and West Queen street the visitors were met by a delegation of the lo? cal lodge and then marched down Queen street to the fair. The New port Newt; "horned men" were loaded with the "lone green" and the various boo!hn and other attractions reaped a harvest from the visitors. In fact the night was by far the biggest thing in the fair line that Hampton has ever seen. Firemen Come Tcnirht. Tonight will be another one of gaiety at the fallt The firemen from Hamp? ton and Phoebus will bs in attendance and us they are a Jolly lot of men it is expected that the night will almost equal last night. Tomorrow night the Newport Newa Aerie and the Hampton Aerie of Kagles will be the special guests at the fair. This should also be a great night.
