If you should be asked, “Do you think?’*, your answer will usually be, “Why certainly.” But if you really think, you will know that this is seldom true; you simply accept the thoughts of others. What is worse, perhaps you don’t real ize that you cannot think for yourself, observe the statue of Rhodin’s THINKER. Have you ever really known such a pro found moment? Most people haven’t. Too often you accept other people’s thinking tor ycur own. They decide for you and really observe for you- You simply take their word - It’s easier - It becomes a habit. In fact: “The mass of people do not think - They echo. They do not act - They react.” BEAUTY HINTS By NINA TEMPLE FOR DRY SCALP When the hair has' been dyed a number of times you’ll often find that it has become very dry and itchy especially with the new dye products. It is best that you discontinue for a while the liquid dyes and give the scalp a period of rest by massaging It with oils. If you wish to color it use a pencil for the time being af ter which, you can resume the former method of coloring. Pencils can be secured at any shade and applied to the outer hairs quickly and satisfactorily. WISE SAYINGS He that wants hope is the poorest man alive. Only fools are happy all the time and only cowards des pair. Reproach is usually honest which is more than can be said of praise. LET HER DRIVE Did you hear how the man got rid of that annoying noise on the right side of his car? He let her drive. It has to do with applying make-up at a table in a restaurant. The charming woman never makes a display of the repair job. Not even the most fastidious per son could object to a very quick and inconspicuous job of re placing a little lipstick, but the more extensive repairs, parti cularly hair-combing, should be done only in the privacy of the powder room.
