Colorado Springs and its Congrega tional college are holding high jubilee over the Pearson Fund,.and the .accom panying co-operation that rendered its acceptance possible, Two hundred thousand dollars are added to the re sources of Colorado Ccllege and thus to ‘the cause of higher education in Colo rado and the recipient may indeed feel elated. The interest in the work of se curing this endowment has extended out, not only to the uttermost confines of this | state, but as far east as the Atlantic coast. The celebration at Colorado Springs is being attended by educaters from all the colleges and schools of this state and also from neighboring ones, and the affair is being used for the fur’ therance generally in the cause of kigher ! education, A COLD HARD FACT.
