Effort Will Be Mntle to Obtain National Entries and Increase Prize Appropriation to 100,000. If tho plans of a number of distinguished owners of show horses and lovers of high-class horseflesh do not go awry, it Is probable that the World's Fair will be tho scene next September of one ot the most notable assemblages of high-class show horses ever gathered together at one time In the United States. Doctor C. De Garmo Gray of Kansas City the horse show promoter, who has been In the city for the past week conferring with the Ex position officials. Is the leader in the movement. An International horse show was orig inally contemplated to be held during the World's Fair on the grounds, and the working up the plan was intrusted to Robert Aull. After hl3 appointment as Park Commissioner, however, he found that it would be impossible for him to prosecute the work and the scheme was abandoned. Doctor Gray's plan would supply In part the one abandoned, and he has been in conference with the Exposition man agement for several days past relative to the subject As a result he will attend tire Society Circus and Horse Show to be given at Cincinnati March 23 to 23 a the unofficial representative of the Exposition, to meet any al the large exhibitors who are expected to have entries there. Doctor Gray hopes to form a comnilJiee of the largest owners of line animals who will be in attendance at Cincinnati, and Incidentally to obtain many entries for tho Fair of galted hofes. tandems, uni corns, roadsters and other features of a first-class horse show. The Exposition is said to faor the plan, as lt Is thought that an exhibition of the best show horses In the Stadium at the Fair would prove S big drawing card. It is proposed to have the exhibition dur ing the latter pavt of September, and if It be held lt will have no competition, as the annual horse show usually held in the Coliseum will be omitted this year. If enough entries arc obtained for the proposed exhibition it Is hoped that the appropriation of S0O.O0O. made by the World's Fair for prizes In the horse classi fication, will be increased by the Exposi tion to jriOO.OOO, desired by exhibitors. The promoters of the proposed exhibition believe that such an increase wou'd be re quired to Induce any general participation by owners outside of Missouri, as Mis souri horsemen have all the best of lt at present, being assured ot a duplication lv the Missouri Commission of everj 100.000 prize won by a Missouri horseman Some of the prominent owners whom Doctor Gray hopes to meet at Cinclrnatl and to Include on the special committee are: Dan P..
