Insufficient Evidence Against Former Deputy Coroners. Judge Moore of the Court ot Criminal Correction yesterday afternoon ordered the Jury in the case against John D. O'Kceie. former Deputy Coroner, who was charged with petit larceny, to bring in a icrdict of not guilty. Following the acquittal of O'Keefe. a nolle prosequi was issued in the case against William Hayes, a fcrmer clerk in the office of Coroner Funkhouser. The acquittal of O Keefe and the dis missal of the case against Hayes mark the close or prosecution under indictments that have bten returned against them, as they were rot convicted on indictments charging a felony or on misdemeanor In dictments. Judge Moore, ordered the jurv in the O Keefe case to return a veidici of acquit tal on the ground that the evidence failed to sustain the indictment.
