(I th I igtier grriflrs of iil ti.re 1 1 - d 3 cntt and th" loivr uradcs ; Corn has suffered considerably from excessive rains and high winds in the Lower Missouri Valley. In Missouri and Ecctcrn Kansas a large part of the crop has been blown flat on the ground or badly damaged, and much is under water. Corn cut and shocked before the rains has begun to mold. The loss from this source is expected to be greater than generally supposed. All together, the loss in Missouri is estimated at 25 per cent. Over the northern portion of the belt from two-thirds to three-fourths of the crop seems out of danger from frost. In this section the weather has bf en favorable and the crop is advancing rapidly to maturity. While a slight Improvement in the condition of cotton has been re ported from Oklahoma and Indian Territory and portions of North Texas fnd Louisiana, the crop as a whole over most of the belt has experienced little or no change, with a tendency toward deterioration. Premature opening has caused damage in Eastern and Western Texas. while boll weevil.-, are doing much damage in Texas and portions of Louisiana. $22.95 BUYS A HEW SI0I.00 TYPEWRITER Sva'tarCraasErE iliffiBglffilg it. q'jotvli". follnw IVnnsvIvarli.
