John Donarano Says He Took Money from Grocer Gogato. A very clever arrest was made by Detective James Ward yesterday after noon, when he took Into custody John Donarano, a fourteen-year-old boy, of 11 Locust street, on suspicion. Detec tive Ward was looking for the person w no nas ueen taking money from the till of Vlncenzo Gogato, who keeps a grocery at 205 Wallace Rtreot -m. r. UU' gato has lost small amounts on several occasions ana complained to the police several days ago. Detective Ward saw Donarano In one of the stores In the center of the city on unristmas afternoon. The boy snowea considerable money and the de tective became suspicious. He did not know that he had stolen from Mr. Go gato. When he saw the boy again in front of the NIcolet on Chapel street yesterday afternoon he decided to ar rest him and bring him befors Cantab Cowles. Captain Cowles put the boy through several degrees and finally he confess ed to having robbed Mr. Gogato.
