On Palm Sunday, April 10, Bene
dict XV, Council K. of C., attended
communion in a body, at St. John's
church, Cliffsjde, at the eight o’clock
mass. After the mass was over, they
journeyed to Enoch’s restaurant in
Edgewater, and participated in a very
palatible breakfast. J luring the course
of the breakfast, several addresses
were made by former Grand Knights,
of the above council, Deputy Grand
Knight Donnelly of Barrett Council of
West New York, who spoke on a closer
relationship of fraternal ism in the K.
of C.; also Bro. Martin Clifford of
Carroll council, Union City, who spoke
about and defined the present-day at
tacks against the K. of C. and the
Catholic church.

Three Local H. S. Boys
Burned, Experimenting
With Chemicals On Thurs.
Three Cliffside Park High School
students were slightly burned while
experimenting with chemicals in the
chemical laboratory on Thursday of
last week. The boys are Alfred Car
hart, Joseph Arcieri and Alfred
Young.
The boys were trying an experi
ment which called for the uniting of
iodine and sulphuric acid in a glass
flask. A minor explosion resulted,
scattering the acid but the glass con
tainer did not break.
Willard Averill, a sophomore, who
has been ill for several days returned
to school on Monday.
