Advertising.—Advertisements continued without in terruption, will be charged at llie rale of one dollar per square for the first insertion, aii«l fifty cents for each sub sequent one. Seim-weekly and tri-weekly ones will be charged the same as first insertions. Twelve Itues make a square. If an advertisement makes less than a square, It nhall cost as much as a full one. Advertisements not limited on the manuscript, as to the number of insertions, will be continued for two iionihs and so charged, unless previously directed to be taken out of the paper by a written order. Advertisements not bearing upon their faces the names ol the persons by whom they are sent, must be endorsed by them. The terms for annual advertisers will be $40 for one square, and $45 for each additional square, with the priv lege of changing once a week, due in advance. The privilege of annual advertiaers is limited to their own immediate business ; and all advertisements for the beuefit of other persons, as well as ail legal advertise ments, and advertisements of auction sales,aentby them, must be paid for at the usual rales. Ail advertisement* required by law, will be charged at the hill rates. AiiiiuhJ advertisers who exceed the space for which they contract, will be charged at the usual rates. Arrangements will be made with those who occupy hall a column or more continuously for a year, according to the nature of the busiuess, and the frequency of the change of matter. Advertisements of application for the benefit of the Insolvent Laws, will not be published in any case, unless paid for previous to insertion, nr payment be guaranteed by a responsible person in town. All announcements of candidates for office, will be char ged five dollars for daily insertions during the canvass, parable in all cases in advance. AFFIDAVIT having heen made that Benjamin Stanton, Jr., resides beyond the limits of this State in or near Columbus Mississippi, it is ordered that he be made a defendant to this bill by publica tion once a week for four weeks in the Mobile Com mercial Register and Patriot—and that a copy of the order be sent to said Stanton within ten days from the date hereof—and that a copy be posted on the door of the court house within the same time. The object of this bill is to procure Iroin Hindman Bar* ney a conveyance of a parcel of properly ailuate in the city of Mobile on the west side of Royal street and north of St. Michael and between that street and St. Louis, the title to which stands in the name of said Barney, and which was paid for by funds held by said Stanton claimed bp said Pollard. The said Stanton is required to appear at the next term of the court of chancery at Mobile, to lie held on the se cond Monday of November next. Witness Malcolm J. Par ker, a credible witness, that Solomon Andrews a defendant iu this cause, resides out of the limits of this State and in the city of New York, it is ordered that he be made a defendant to this bill by publica tion in the Commercial Register and Patriot, a paper published in the city of Mobile, once a week for four weeks—that a copy of the order be sent within ten days to said Andrew's at New York, and that a copy he posted on the door of the court house iu ten days from this date. The object of this bill is to obtain relief against certain promissory notes given by said Hull to Joshua B. Leavens and by hint endorsed to Solomon Andrews iu payment for certain properly in the city of Mobile, which property was previously en cumbered by said Andrews to Win. R. Hallett, and which encumhernnce is a breach of one ol the cove nants in the deed of said Andrews to said Leavens, and was fraudulently concealed. Aikin, and bearing date the 10th day of March, 1836 —and further that on the first Monday in April, 1841, | the premises aforesaid were sold by the master under i the said decree. And the complainant in his said sitp idemental bill, prays that Martha Dunning, Edward limning, Henry Dunning, Charles C. Dunning, Francis W. Dunning and William If.
