Ordinance No. 179.
An Ordinance to Amend Ordinance No. 100,
Ent tied an Oidinnee in Revision of the
Ordinances of the City if Phoenix, and to
Establish Provision for the Government of
Naid City
The Common Coun il of Fhccnix do ordain as
ful'ows:
Section 1 That section 4 of chapter 1, article
1, of an ordinance entitled An Ordinance in
Revision of the Ordinances of the City of
Phoenix, and to establish provision for the gov
ernment of said city be. md the same is hereby
amended to read at- follows:
It shall be unlawful for any minor to visit,
hang art.urd or loiter in or about any bawdy
house, billiard room, drinking saloon, bar or
other place where intoxicating liquors are sold.
Sec 2 Subdivision 14 of section 1 of article 1
of chapter , be and tne same is hereby
amended so as to read as follows: Riding or
driving any animal through the streets at a
rate of sped exceeding six miles per hour.
That section 3 of chapter 1 of article 1 be
amended to read as follows:
Sec. 3 Every person who shall csrry on the
business of laundry o wash house within the
limits of that part of the city heretofore desig
nated and set apart as fire limits under ordi
nance No. 70. entitled "An ordinance to amend
section 1 of ordinance No. 44, entitled 'an ordi
nance to provide for the protection of persons
and property in the city of Phoenix from
damage by fire,'" 'hall be guilty of amis
demeanor, and all such laundries and wash
houses are hereby declared to be a nuisance.
8ec. 4 All ordinances and parts of t rdinances
in confjict with this ordinance are herebj re
pealed.
This ordinance shall take effect from and
after its passage and publication as by law re
quired. Passed by the Common Council of Phoenix
the 8th dav of November. 1894.
