Deputy Sheriff Billy Moore came in yesterday with the last of the Indian cattle thieves who unloaded their booty on A. R. Jenkins not long ago. FOR HANDLING FARMS. Articles of incorporation of the Harbert Farms company were filed in the office of the county recorder yesterday with a cap ital stock of $60,000. The incorporators are Josiah Harbert, John T. Harbert, William Christy and E. J .Bennitt. DISTRICT COURT. The case of Daniel Hutchinson vs. Walter Hill was tried in district court yesterday. The suit grew out of the purchase of the product of a couple of orchards near Glendale for the last season. There was a dispute concerning the amount cf the product. SPRINKLING HORSES RUN OFF. Four horses drawing the sprinkling wagon on Central avenue ran away yesterday. The leaders were less speedy animals than the wheelers and were knocked down. There was such an indiscriminate result that it took the driver half an hour to disintegrate the runaways. MEMORIAL SERVICE. The an nual memorial service of Phoenix lodge No. 333, B. P. O. Elks, will be held in the Patton Grand Sunday afternoon, December 3. Arrangements have been completed for the proper observance of their most impressive ritualistic cere mony, which will be supplemented by an appropriate programme. BETHANY CHAPEL SERVICES. The services Sunday evening at Beth any chapel will be unusually interest ing. Instead of a sermon being deliv ered, thirty-six splendid colored ster eopticon views will be given of the "Life of Christ." The stereopticon used is one of the celebrated Colt's double instruments and the slides are works of aVt. SENSELESS IN A CELLAR. Peter Wallace, an old man who has been about town many years, was found senseless in the basement of the new Ellingson build'.ng yesterday morning. He was taken out with great difflculLy and removed to the police station. He subsequently complained of a great pain in his back and was unable to move. He was unable to tell how he fell into the cellar. REPUBLICAN'S OPEN HOUSE. The Republican will keep open house next Monday night from 9 to 12 o'clock. These hours have been selected in or der that there may be no interference with the carnival programme. The opportunity will be given to the car nival visitors and citizens of Phoenix I to see the modern way of making a newspaper with the aid of fast per i fecting presses and typesetting ma j chines. All the machinery will be in operation. Refreshments will be served. A SORROWFUL BURDEN. Mr. and Mrs. James Rees of Congress ar rived from the north last night with the remains of their 4-year-old son. They were accompanied by a party of friends and were met at the station by a delegation of Woodmen of the World, to which order Mr. Rees belongs. The funeral of the child, under the auspices of the order, will take place at 2 o'clock this afternoon at Davis' undertaking rooms. UNIFORMED KNIGHTS. Mr. Robert Ie Harper, grand lecturer of the i United Moderns, delivered an interest ing lecture at O'Neill hall last night on ; the subject of "The Average Man." The audience was apprec iative, though ow- , ing to the short time the lecture was ; advertised and the other attractions in the city the attendance was not large.
