CITIZENS COOPEBATE Will Join to Dedicate Capitol and Banquet Lawmakers. A meeting of citizens was held at the board of trade rooms last night, at which a committee of five was se lected to confer with a committee ap pointed by the legislature yesterday to arrange for the dedication of the new cnpltol building: by fitting ceremonies that will likely lake place on February 22. On the dayfol!owlng the dedica tion of the capltol the members of the kglslatmu will be banqueted In a mag nificent manner. This was a part of the meeting's decision last night. Ma jor J. W. Mr. Murphy made lengthy talk lri which he urgtd the necessity of Immediate action on the part of the people of this 1 valley to hold the ground already gnlned. The Idea of Mr. Murphy -was endorsed by S. M. McCowan in a short speich, -which was follbwed by a general discussion by the members. Mr. Woolf guaranteed fifty dollars towatd a fund1 for the use of such a committee, and Mr. Johnson thought the same liberality could be depended upon from khe Utah canal. Messrs. D. H. Heard and W. H. Code also spoke upon tht- question, and1 on motion of Mr. J. B. Hoover It was de cided to hold a mass meeting at the Dorrls Cheater next Saturday at 2 o'clock to discuss the question and de termine the mot advisable muthod of procesdure. On motion of Mr. Norton. J. W. Woolf, A. J. McCiatchle and Dwight 13. Heard were appointed a committee of three to arrange for thu mass meet ing. A motion that the executive- commit tee of the Wntcr Storage Protective, association select a commlttcc'of three to go to Washington having prevailed, the executive committee announced the selection to be Messrs. S. M. McCowan, A. J. Chandler and J. W. Woolf. On motion of Mr. Norton, the water storage cammlite, requested the com mittee above named to put forth its best efforts while In Washington for water storagf as 'Well as looking after the matiter of forest reserves. A committee was also appointed to call upon the supervisors and solicit n. subscription tolvard the expenso of sending this corn'mlttfe to Washington and to aid in defraying the expense of bed rock borings. Messrs. Norton, Walker and Priest were named. After some further discussion of the Wyoming law and thu question of pre paring a law for presentation rto the legislature the meeting adjourned; till next Tuesday, when the Wyoming Taw will be made a special older of busi-ntss.
