Waring received a telegram yesterday that his sister, i.rs. .ud'or-inac-k of Bluffton, III., gave birth to a line hie bouncing boy. and that both mother and child were doing well. It looks as though -Mr. Waring and his sister are conspiring to make their mother .feel old, for being twice grandmother in seven days would nat urally make her feel that way. Mr. T. T. Hines, the constructing en gineer of the power houne of th Phoenlx x-ight and Fuel company, now being built on the Tempe crosscut or the Arizona canal., was in Mesa today for supplies. They are now putting in the tloor of the raceway tunnel, an-l in sixty days the building will be com pleted and it is Intended to have Phoe nix lighted by the power generated in this house by Christmas time. A stor age plant will be constructed in Phoe nix to handle the power generated by old Salt, and the light w ill be dis pensed from there. A. mis sionary, was present and was called to the stand and addressed the meeting as to his labors among the people of the stake. H.e said he was exiecteii. with the companion who would b chosen for him. to make a house to house canvass of the stake, just as the elders do in the south, converse with the people and hold cottage meetings.
