the news-papers, this part of his busi
ness alone amounting to thousands of

MISSOURI PICNIC The commit
tees having in charge preparations for
the Missouri picric to be held next
Thursday are working hard and mak
ing good progress. They expect to
make the occasion a great success. Th;;

urged to join. The only reouisite to
membership is the fac t of having re
sided in the state one year a. id having

news stand. Mr. Munson was former
ly in this business, at which time the

name of Hanna & Munson. Air. Han
na is new in business at Tos Angeles.
Mr. Munson necessarily had to find a
new name for his store and has chris
tened it the "Delta Confectionery Co."

NEW LOCOMOTIVES. J. H. Em
mcrt, who was here yesterday from
Prescott. says the S. F. P. & P. com
pany has received three fine new loco
motives from the factory that outclass
anything that has yt run into Phoe
nix, and that they will he used on the
passenger trains of that railroad, he
Ing put in commission in a very few
days. They are ten wheelers and weigh
13S.0OO pounds, being larger than any
other engines yet used on this road.
The cylinders are 19 by 2G and th en
gines are equipped with piston valves.
