That the Normal school will be in evidence at St. Louis next summer has been definitely decided upon and for the purpose of preparing the exhibit a committee has been appointed. They now have the work well under way. It will be plated with the educational exhibit. The Arizona committee for the xposition very kindly appropriat ed for the purpose $100 and at a faculty meeting a vote was passed making a similar appropriation of $'2o. This sum will doubtless be augmented by more from the Normal board and by individuals. 'In all the amount will be sufficient to give the Normal an ex hibit that it may well be proud of. Pres. Matthews will go to Phoenix '.his aftei'noon for the purpose of at tending a very important meeting of the board cf education at the gover ror's fTice. At this meeting the dis tribution of the territorial sehocl fun1, will be made and on this account the meeting is of great importance to ev ery school in the territory. At a recent faculty meeting a very gratifying discovery was made. It was found, while looking through the reports for the last semester, that the percentage of failures was much less than it has been for a number of years. At this same meeting the commit tees were appointed for commence ;nent fxctciscs. This seems a little arly to be considering commence ment, but it is the intention of the faculty -and students to make this year's crduating programme the best that th Normal has had in years and n thl account they are going to make an early start. Yesterday was the end of the sixth nx-nth of the school year and last ev ening the members of the faculty all rei-eiVed their che ks. They are cor respondingly hnppy today.
