They had been carried sev eral miles down the river. A ROUGH RIDER George K.-py Vinnedge of Victoria, B. C, arrived here yesterday and will remain for a time at least. Mr. Vir.nedse was a member of K Troop of the rough riders and is a civil engineer by profession. Since the v.ar he has spent much time in the Philippines in the duties of hi profession and while there his health became somewhat impaired though be floes not look or feel like a sick man. Sturgls had been killed at his home in the southern part of Pima county. POWER STATION SHUT DOWN The break in the Arizona dam and th j fijLn, of the river, cutting off the wa- i ter supply has put the eleetric power, houses located on the Arizona canal out j of operation. The electric com pany is hurrying the work at its sta tion and expects to complete it by Thursday night when the entire servl'-o v. ill be supplied by steam power unin terruptedly in the future.
