AMUSEMENTS .t "Married for Moivy" is one succes sion of hearty laughs, and the audi ence at J-:astlake park last night fully appreciated the three acts of excellent humor. The cast is small but well se lected. Sir Robert Mellow boy, played by Lee Begs, was an exceptionally fine piece of character acting, and as the giddy old beau was perfect. V. T. Henderson, as Mr. Mapus. the much to be pitied young husband, played with exquisite fineness and had every thing his own way from the drunken scene on. It. A. Pennett was well cast as Robert Ruyland. Miss Maud Lita played Matilda in a manner which left nothing more to be desired. Myrtle Harrington hail good opportunities as Simpkins, of which she took full ad vantage. Kthel McMullen was scream ingly funny as Mrs. Mapus, which is much the best j,,ut she has had so far. Put she must be seen to be appreci ated. There were no lingering inter missions, and the applause during and between the acts was even more pro nounced than usual and testified the appreciation of the audience. Tonight and tomorrow night dan cing will follow the performance. To morrow night an excursion train will be run over the Santa Fc for the ben efit of Tempe and Mesa patrons.
